The African Union is calling for calm in Gabon. The chairperson of the African Union Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat, is deeply concerned about the developments in the absence of the country's president, Ali Bongo. Bongo is understood to be seriously ill. Vice president, Pierre-Claver Mag-anga Moussa-vou, has taken control after a meeting of the country's ministerial council. The move has been approved by Gabon's high court. Earlier in the week, it changed the Constitution to allow Moussa-vou to become interim leader. Opposition parties have rejected the move, warning of a political and constitutional crisis. President Bongo has been hospitalized for nearly a month. However, last week his office reported that his condition was improving Subscribe to us on YouTube: http://ow.ly/Zvqj30aIsgY Follow us on: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cgtnafrica/ Twitter: https://twitter.com/cgtnafrica
