Products:

Charlotte Tilbury Magic Cream, £70, http://bit.ly/1syZw2G

Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury used to create this cream herself, adding drops of essential oils to create a "secret potion". It smells faintly of roses and isn't overpowering. Once applied, skin is left feeling silky and glows, similar to a primer but moisturising at the same time.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturiser, SPF 20, £34, http://bit.ly/1pW6V6F

This moisturiser is oil-free so it's good for all complexions. It gives the skin a flawless finish with no caking while remaining sheer, so the skin is still visible through it.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Duality, £17, http://bit.ly/1qqLCjB

This double-ended pencil is made up of a highlighter and a pale pink crayon. Use the pale pink pencil on the inner rims of the eyes to make the eye area appear brighter. With the same pencil, you can add a lighter area to the brow bone to make the eyes appear more open. Using the highlighter, add more brightness to the brow bone and then to the inner corner of the eye. It can also be used on the cupid's bow on your lips.

Clinique Airbrush Concealer, £18.00, http://bit.ly/X5L6Lb

This concealer comes in various shades and highlights under-eye circles to make eyes appear brighter and hide those late nights. Kay Montano suggests putting concealer to the top of your eyelids like a primer. This conceals any redness or blue tinges. It can also be used to smooth out areas of the face and cover any blemishes.

Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer Kit, £24, http://bit.ly/1AFwHSX

These concealers are especially good for spots and blemishes. They're also ideal for touch-ups on the go as they come complete with pressed powder. Using a concealer brush, apply the concealer to any blemishes and set it with the pressed powder.

Topshop Blusher in Head Over Heels, £7, http://bit.ly/1oB2TRy

While this colour may look quite 'out there', it is actually very subtle once applied. Makeup artist Mary Greenwell recommends putting the blusher high on the cheek for a healthier glow.

NARS Orgasm Illuminator, £22.50, http://bit.ly/1lZJgHr

This can be used under your foundation or as a highlighter. Apply to the top of your cheekbones and down your nose for a healthy shine.

Soap & Glory Sexy Mother Pucker Gloss Stick, in Bashful, £8.00, http://bit.ly/1qP6S0e

Finish off with a colourful lip to effortlessly inject some life into your look.
