A fun Florida activity for locals and visitors is scalloping on the Gulf Coast.  Grab your snorkel, mask and fins and head out to search for scallops.  We are in Old Homosassa on the Gulf Coast side of Florida.  We are renting a boat and heading out to find scallops.  It is really fun!  On the way out, we saw sea turtles, sharks and dolphins.  Once you find a nice area with grasses and sandy bottoms, you hop in and hunt for scallops.
