Though 77 years have passed, Gold River resident Paul Perrault vividly recalls what it was like aboard the USS Phoenix as the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor. Then 21, Perrault heard the alarm to man his battle station as he watched a row of battleships get attacked. Perrault shared his story so that it wouldn’t be forgotten. Watch it in the video above.
