Harriet Newton is an impressive young entrepreneur who has established a successful business and salon. In this video, she describes some of the important life lessons being in business has taught her. And while she’s loving her business studies degree, as an established entrepreneur, she also knows that there are some issues they don’t teach you how to deal with in business school. Harriet had to take risks to establish her business, and at the age of twenty one, she was working eighty to a hundred hours a week to do so. Not everyone in her life understood her drive or ambition. One of the things Harriet’s learnt is that when you're ambitious and motivated, you won’t be taking all of your friends along with you on the ride. But the great thing about that is that the people that really care, and accept and celebrate you for who you are, can become lifelong friends.
