www.loudlabs.com Written by City News Service - Three people were injured, two critically, when a 22-foot power boat ran aground at Arrow Point on Catalina Island tonight. The U.S. Coast Guard received an emergency call from the vessel saying it had run aground around 7 p.m., according to Adam Eggers of the U.S. Coast Guard. The vessel was a power boat with a frame similar to a catamaran, but with two outboard motors attached to the stern, Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Capt. Doug Fetteroll said. All the injuries suffered by those aboard were non-life-threatening, Fetteroll said. The crew members were rescued by Los Angeles County Fire Department Catalina Island Baywatch paramedics Eggers said, with the injured taken to mainland hospitals by Coast Guard and fire department helicopters, Eggers said. Arrow Point is just north of Isthmus Cove, on the north side of the island's east-facing coastline. LOUDLABS NEWS
