In this video I show one of my favorite setups for the Sneaky Choke.

The Broken Turtle position is not that difficult to get to, especially when using the lapel as show in this video. If you would like a video just on the break down make sure to watch my video on that technique as well.

The four finger in the back of the collar grip can lead to some really great cross collar variations. Play with this grip from this position and you will see it appear everywhere.

The choke is the strongest when they try to turn into you as shown in the last rep. If they stay flat on their back it will feed across the jaw, and although you will be able to tap a lot of people with it, they will probably communicate that it was a face crank.

There are multiple ways to deal with this, including transitioning over into mount with the setup hand in and then doing an extremely tight Cross Collar from mount, or you can also elevate your body and go straight to Knee on Belly. When you do it this way very commonly people will shrimp to avoid the knee on the belly and that gives the strong choking angle for the Cross Collar.
