First Freddie Gray Case ends in Hung Jury; Mistrial - My Thoughts

The first officer charged in the series of Freddie Gray trials, William  Porter has his case end in a mis trial result due to a hung jury.  Porter faced second-degree assault, involuntary manslaughter, reckless endangerment and misconduct in office charges. He has pleaded not guilty to all the charges, as have the other five officers charged in connection to Freddie Gray’s death.  

The hung jury most likely resulted in the fact that there simply isn't enough evidence to convict Mr. Porter on the charges he has.  From the evidence that the general public has been privy to from the media, how is it possible to ascertain, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that William Porter is guilty of what he's been charged with?  How much more evidence is the general public not privy to?  The case appears to be pretty open and shut.  Freddie Gray was injured in the van and he died later.  There doesn't appear to be any evidence of foul play on the part of the officers.  

Race card can't be played here because the officer in question, Mr. William Porter, is black himself.  So why would the white jurors find him innocent if it's about race?  Might as well just get a two for one.  A dead young man and a innocent black man in jail.  But the reality is, most people are driven by what they think is right.  The white jurors don't have the society pressure and emotional stress to make an irrational decision that the black jurors due.  Hence the hung jury, which is most likely drawn among racial lines.

There are many players in this game that we call political theatre.  You have the lawyer of Freddie Gray's family, Billy Murphy, who worked pro-bono to get the family a $6.4 million dollar settlement, of which he is privy to 33.3 percent.  He'll be on TV just doing his job as the family attorney.  You have up and coming civil rights superstars, like Mr. Kwame Rose, who I featured in this video.  You may remember him as the guy who was screaming at Geraldo Rivera in Baltimore during the initial Freddie Gray riots.  He is getting more camera time this time around.   Same thing happens in Chicago, Ferguson, wherever there is a Democrat slum, there are opportunists.  Never let a good death go wasted.
