So far, this is probably one of the best budget headsets I’ve seen so far and it’s totally worth the price! At about $70 it costs a bit more than some of the Logitech, Turtle Beach or Sades headsets. But what you get in the HyperX Cloud is a more elegant headset that doesn’t feel like a toy. These look like a nice set of audio headphones and is very solidly built while being very flexible at the same time. The HyperX Cloud features a detachable microphone and when you take it off you could definitely mistake this for a regular set of headphones. The headband has the HyperX logo embroidered to the vinyl on top and the underside is well padded with a soft leathery feel to it. This is an over the ear headset with memory foam earcups. There’s also a thin layer of foam on the inside covering the 53mm drivers. The HyperX Cloud is built on an aluminum frame which makes it super study and tough. The headset is fully adjustable with several click stops to hold the earcups in place. The braided cord helps with durability but it isn’t immune to being shorted out as I’ve seen with other headsets with braided cords. There’s also an inline volume dial for quick adjustments and on the back there’s a mute switch when you have to silence your mic. These plug right into 2nd generation and newer Xbox One controllers or other devices and it looks great with my Elite controller. These are super comfortable to wear and there’s a decent amount of bass response and clear highs that make these a joy to use. With the detachable mic you can walk around in public and use these for music without getting strange looks. Included with the package is a soft carrying bag and a cable for computers that still have a separate headphone and microphone ports. The only thing that would make this even better is if the headset had a detachable cable. Because not being able to replace a shorted out cable has ruined so many other headsets I’ve owned. But if you’re looking for a high-quality headset for Xbox, PS4 or computer gaming I think you’ll be happy with the HyperX Cloud! Let me know in the comments your thoughts on this headset and hit that thumbs up button if you enjoyed this video!
