On this condominium remodeling /renovation project in Indian Harbour Beach, Florida. I had to get some sheets of 4' x 12' x 5/8" specialty soundproofing drywall called Soundbreak XP made by National Gypsum Company specially made for reducing noise from home theaters, plumbing and loud neighbors. Condo's tend to have noise a the community drains that run through the walls of high rise condos. The sound board used along with a product called green glue can reduce noise in your condo tremendously. But that's another video (stay tuned and subscribe so you don't miss it...
This type of drywall is extremely heavy and only comes in twelve foot sheets. The elevator at the condo can only get a maximum length of eight foot drywall in it. But when soundproofing you you want the least amount of seams as possible on the noise reducing drywall. Thankfully my drywall supply company as a boom truck to get the drywall up to high rise buildings and condominiums.
PS. Lot's of videos to come from this project like metal framing, metal framing a curved ceiling, drywall, drywall finishing, texturing, texture matching and many more.
Thanks for watching, Paul
