"Lama Zopa Rinpoche speaks from his own experience and gives a very important advice on how to take real advantage when doing retreat. The advice is to first clean one’s mind, to work on the eight worldly dharmas. He recommends to read “The Door to Satisfaction” before doing retreat. Once one has cleaned one’s mind, then retreat becomes very pure and the mind becomes Dharma. He continues explaining how important it is the guru in our practice because this is the root of the path to enlightenment. Happiness in our life and happiness in future lives, liberation and enlightenment depends on never displease the guru for even one second. This video was extracted from a teaching that was recorded in Bendigo, Australia on April 8, 2018. Find out more about Lama Zopa Rinpoche at http://www.fpmt.org"
