Ruling ANC party stands by President Jacob Zuma

South Africa's ruling African National Congress has backed President Jacob Zuma after calls for his resignation from various groups.  Party Secretary General Gwede Mantashe has told a news conference the ANC will not support a bid to remove the president. The calls follow dissent after President Zuma's Cabinet reshuffle last week. Among the ministers he replaced is respected finance minister, Pravin Gordhan.
