Elon Musk and the SEC reached a settlement this Saturday. Although this had an immediate negative effect on Tesla Stock, with this being resolved I think this is one of the best things that could have happened to the company. With the conditions of the settlement requiring a $20M fine, Elon Musk resigning from the board of directors for a minimum of three years and the implementation of 2 independent board directors, I think this is exactly what Tesla needed and it will help them steer clear of problem like this in the future.
