SAN PEDRO - A manager of an apartment building heard a smoke alarm ringing and found smoke coming from a front unit. When he opened the door to the 82 year old tenant's room, he found "Alex" was on fire from his waist up. He attempted to help put out the flames with another tenant as they called 911. The veteran victim was transported to Harbor UCLA in critical condition. Arson has been dispatched to take over the investigation.
