Chinese FM concludes five nation Africa visit in Nigeria

Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi has wrapped up his 5-nation tour of Africa. He's been to Madagascar, Zambia, Tanzania, Congo-Brazzaville, and Nigeria. On his last stop, the Chinese Foreign Minister met his Nigerian counterpart Geoffrey Onyeama. The two signed memoranda of understanding the Nigerian capital, Abuja. In a joint statement China and Nigeria committed to strengthening bilateral ties further. Both have reaffirmed their pledges to the One China policy. In the spirit of friendship, Wang Yi said China remains fully committed to helping Nigeria develop its infrastructure. Wang Yi also met with Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari and confirmed China's commitment to support Nigeria when it comes to the country's security challenges.
