NORTHRIDGE - Police in Northridge are looking for a driver responsible for creating a wet mess after hitting a fire hydrant, before taking off. The crash happened just after 6:00 AM along the 17900 block of Lassen Street Saturday morning. This is in front of the CSUN Student Housing complex. Crews were able to shut down the hydrant within minutes. It is a misdemeanor to hit city property and run away. No injuries have been reported.
