Local military mom returns home, surprises kids at Kenwood Towne Centre

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - There's nothing better than being with family on the holidays. No one knows that better than Petty officer 1st class Amanda Tedford who has been stationed in Guam for the last six months and hasn't seen her kids during that time. On Thursday, Tedford had the opportunity to reunite with her children, and the tear-jerking moment was caught on camera. Tedford's two sons and her daughter were getting their picture taken with Santa at the Kenwood Towne Centre when she emerged from behind them and said, "Merry Christmas!" Immediately, the kids jumped off Santa's lap and embraced their mom with open arms. For Tedford and her kids, it's a Christmas memory that will be hard to top.
