Former Prime Minister Explain P.S.U.’s Hilltop Lease Agreement

Musa released a statement today in which he recalls that when he was Prime Minister in 2000, officers of the Public Service Union including the then President Margaret Ventura appealed to him to regularize and grant security tenure of the Hilltop recreational facilities to the P.S.U. According to Musa, since the facility was part of the RECONDEV/Belmopan City Council property, he met with the then Belmopan Mayor Anthony Chanona and an agreement was established that the Hilltop facility would be made available to the P.S.U. on a long-term lease of twenty years.
