CINCINNATI (WKRC) - Everyone knows that the best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loudly, for all to hear, but giving gifts is a close second!

The Cincinnati Zoo had a very special visitor, one of Santa's elves! He was admittedly a lot larger than one would expect an elf to be, but he had gifts for the animals, so they let him in.

The zoo released footage of the elf's visit to Local 12 News, and as you can see, the elf was very excited to be at the zoo and help spread holiday happiness.

He got to see the giant rhino nutcracker, ride the (admittedly confusing to use) escalator, skip though a tunnel lined with thousands of Christmas lights, and of course, give gifts to the animals.

After speaking with the Zoo's zookeeper, Thane Maynard, the elf gave presents to the red pandas, aardvarks, and even to BiBi the Hippo, Princess Fiona's mom.

"Our HR director is a great sport and bears a striking resemblance to a certain actor, so we asked him to deliver gifts to the animals this year," said Michelle Curley of the Cincinnati Zoo.
