loudlabs.com ATWATER VILLAGE - A mentally ill male around 30 years of age threatened his mother with a knife at their home around 11:00 pm. LAPD arrived on scene and was able to get the mother out of the house. LAPD now has the suspect barricaded alone inside the home and are trying to get him to come out the front door. Neighbors say the man is harmless and just probably scared. They're also pleading with the LAPD not to shoot the man. Scene is on going.
