Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Insert Screenshots in Excel Using the Handy Screen Clipping Feature.

Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast, where we're always learning new tips and tricks for Excel. In this video, we're going to cover a handy feature that was introduced in Excel 2010 - screen clipping. This feature allows you to easily insert screenshots from other applications directly into your Excel spreadsheet, without the need for external tools like Snagit or the print screen function.

As we all know, working with large amounts of data can be overwhelming. But with screen clipping, you can quickly analyze and visualize your data by creating eye-catching visuals. To get started, simply go to the Insert tab and select "Screenshot" from the drop-down menu. This will show you all the open windows on your computer, and you can choose the one you want to insert into your spreadsheet.

But here's where it gets even better. Instead of inserting the entire screenshot, you can use the "Screen Clipping" option to select a specific section of the screen. This was originally introduced in OneNote, but now it's available in Excel as well. Simply make sure you have the desired application open, go back to Excel, and select "Screen Clipping." This will bring up a crosshair that allows you to select the exact section of the screen you want to insert into your spreadsheet.

This feature not only saves you time and effort, but it also allows you to create more visually appealing spreadsheets. No more need for external tools or complicated processes - with screen clipping, you can easily add pictures and screenshots to your Excel spreadsheets.
