Male cats are the ones usually affected by feline lower urinary tract infection. This cat cannot pee normally again - dysuria and pollakiuria again. The urethral obstruction with cleared by syringing saline in a urinary catheter inserted into the urethra. The cat was very ferocious post-operation. The urine was pH 8, alkaline. An acidifying diet, such as Hill's Feline C/D was advised as acidic urine prevents this problem from recurring.
