So,one 'Guitar Hero' ex-pat ("The Seeker"), another Avenged Sevenfold track (they're not great, but Harmonix makes the tracks fun), a groovy Jack White tune, a Fleetwood Mac classic, a Spin Doctors tune that's (*gasp!*) not "Two Princes", and that nope-it's-still-dumb first Killers single. Not a bad little assortment at all.

Of course, that's also on top of the 2000+ DLC tracks that'll be importable from day one, and automatically enhanced with the new 'Rock Band 4' harmony/drum fill features. We're still waiting on whether we'll be able to do cross-platform with that, in case you were wondering. Still, the on-disc tracks are looking pretty solid so far.

As you’d expect with a game which is sticking with a tried and tested mechanic, the game play for Rock Band 4 doesn’t look all that different. Check out the fairly hefty hour-long video above to take a closer look, though you can get the gist of the game in the first few minutes as some of the team play through one of the already announced songs; Somebody Told Be by The Killers. We do get to see a glimpse of the new drum fills in action, and a few of the other recently announced game play features.

There’s also a good look at some of the new game modes coming to the game such as Show Mode which lets players vote for the next type of song during the song currently being played which keeps the game running rather than everyone having to stop and wait for the next song to be chosen. This is ideal for party settings, IGN revealed.

All in all, Rock Band 4 looks like a very familiar experience which I’m sure many are happy with, and those who are a little unsure, there seems to be many features available to keep the game fresh for those who have put too many hours already mashing plastic guitars and drum kits.

I just wanted to do a video on the new songs that were announced for rock band 4 last week ign announced the first 6 songs that would be released on disc. It's important to note that these 6 songs do not constitute the best songs on disc. There are still a bunch of big name artists that harmonix has said that they will be announcing in the coming months and they are still actively working on pursuing afrists to include in the game. These are just songs that are confirmed to be on disc  They still haven't nailed the setlist down. They usually don't have an idea of what songs will be on disc until a month before or so. And if you guys have any song requests go to rock band.com/request to make a request directly to harmonix. So let's get started with the songs that were announced. So the first one was hail to the king by avenged sevenfold. This was pretty much expected because we had DLC released from this earlier in the year and even harmonix has said it themselves that hail to the king was one of the top 25 most requested songs through their request system.  The next one is fleetwood mac y ou make loving fun. I was actually surprised that we had more fleetwoord ma because a couple of their songs got pulled off the DLC store because of licensing issues so maybe those songs will make an appearance or at least come back to the music store in the future.. The next one is Jack White Lazaretto. We've never had any of Jack White's solo stuff, but we've had a ton of stuff from the White Stripes as well as The Dead Weather so i am not really surprised we are seeing more jack white.  I wouldn't be surprised if we see a Jack White pack released as DLC down the road. The Killers Somebody Told Me. Another two songs that were announced was Spin Doctors Little Miss Can't Be Wrong and The Seeker by The Who, which is kind of surprising considering we got so much The Who DLC that somehow the Seeker didn't make it in. Glad it finally made it. One of my favourite Who songs. That basically does it for the first 6 rock band 4 songs that were announced. I'd like to know what are your guys reactions.
