This is a shot of Class 40 locomotive 40145 as it stops for five minutes to pick up passengers on the CFPS/Pathfinder 'Cambrian Coast Express' rail tour dated 2nd June 2007. This tour was from Leeds to Aberwystwyth and so here we have a majestic shot of 40145 entering platform 3 at Manchester Victoria - a station that sadly through 'modernization' is a shadow of its former self. This shot is a little too short but a Class 40 on the big railway is always a worthwhile posting. John Wantling, Rochdale
