This is nearly a minute of English Electric Class 40 D335 ticking-over at Bury Bolton Street on the East Lancashire Railway's Home Fleet event dated Saturday 17th March 2007. There was only one run up-and-down the line for D335 at this event, but it was followed by sister locomotive 40145 on the Nightrider service. However, due to the failure of the resident Deltic (55022) due to a fuel leak problem, 40145 was brought into service for a mid-afternoon run - an unexpected treat for the Class 40 enthusiast. So here we see the glamour of preservation with one of the Class 40 Preservation Society's engines (D335) standing at platform three, soon to leave for Ramsbottom and Rawtenstall on another excellent event staged by the East Lancashire Railway's diesel department.
