The date is Saturday 10th March 2007 and here we see the Class 40 Preservation Society's (CFPS) flagship locomotive 40145 standing in the shadows against an overcast sky. This heavyweight machine is in the middle of a shunt at the Castlecroft diesel shed on the East Lancashire Railway, in the process of moving the Hymek out of the shed, presumably getting ready for the Home Fleet event on the ELR. We cannot see the driver but it is Lee Kenny, but we can see 'main man' Andy Hardman approaching the locomotive to have a quick word with Lee. Some of these shunts look complicated taking into consideration that the Bury Diesel Group has more locomotives than they have space!
