A neuronal channel protein controls planarian movement

The first part of this video, taken by Ross et al., shows the normal gliding movement of planarian worms (Schmidtea mediterranea), which changes (in the second part of the video) to snake-like gliding when the neuronal trpc-like gene – a homolog of an epilepsy-associated gene - is knocked down.
