Jim Fong sent along an interesting speed test with the THB6064AH driver and a very low inductance Vexta stepper motor rated at 1.7 volts and 4.7 amps. Not many drivers will like a motor like that! But low inductance can mean higher speed... how much speed? 1781 RPM! Testing was done with a 20 volt supply, Vref at 2.4 volts (4 amps), 40% decay, and 16 microstep mode, with a 95khz step input (!) Of course, that is NO load, with an unusual motor. Steppers are not known for that sort of speed... you normally want to add gearing or move to a servo if you need something that fast. Still... interesting to see what can be done at the edges. Thanks Jim!
