Microsoft Excel Tutorial: Master Excel Data Analysis with Cell Styles.

Welcome back to the MrExcel netcast! In this video, we will be discussing how to find cell styles in Excel. As we all know, working with large amounts of data can be overwhelming. That's why it's important to know how to efficiently analyze and organize your data. And what better way to do that than with the help of cell styles?

In this tutorial, I, Bill Jelen, will show you how to use cell styles to easily identify and select specific types of cells in your spreadsheet. We will start off by using a pivot table to analyze our data. Then, I will present you with a problem and challenge you to solve it. Are you up for it?

In a previous video, I used the "go to special" function to find all the input cells that were numeric. However, I also mentioned that using cell styles to mark these cells would be a great alternative. So, let's say you have already been using cell styles to label your input cells. Not only does this make it easier to identify them, but it also gives us another way to select them.

Instead of using "go to special" this time, we will use the "find" function. By opening up the options and selecting "format", we can choose a specific cell style and find all the cells that match it. This is a great way to quickly select and manipulate a certain class of cells. And as always, I will provide you with some helpful shortcuts along the way.

I want to thank you for watching this tutorial and I hope you found it useful. Don't forget to check out our other netcasts on the MrExcel channel for more Excel tips and tricks. See you next time!

If Jerry from podcast 1052 had been using cell styles to mark his input cells, he could have used advanced options in the Find dialog to clear all of the input cells. Episode 1053 shows you how.
