This video started before Christmas with the Totally Terrific Tags and Trimmings and ended after Christmas so I decided to delete the TTT&T titling. The first bag I used a Darice Foam Ink Pod and stamped ink circles on the bag with Versamark Ink then used a red glittery embossing powder (that's old and not still on the market) and then heat set it. I then used a We R Memory Keepers Ribbon Threading kit with a thin red ribbon and ran it through the top portion of the bag and tied a bow in the center. If you were doing this when using the bag, you'd want to make sure you put your present into the bag and then punched the ribbon holes and then threaded the ribbon and tied the bow. For the second bag, I put a stencil that is disposable on the bag and used Martha Stewart's Stucco Effect with a LOT of real red reinker combined with it from Stampin' Up. I thought I put way too much reinker into it, but it dried orange. I'm not sure if it was the color of the bag, but I've never had anything change color from its original color like the Stucco Effect did or especially that dramatically. I found an orange colorful ribbon and tied a knot in it and used glue dots to attach it in the center on the bag between the rows of stucco. The third bag involved a 6 x 6 Crafter's Workshop Mini Harlequin stencil and using a variety of Gelatos and .PlayColor Instant Educa Solid Poster Paint (that's a children's version that's much less expensive than regular Gelatos, Amazon sells six big sticks for $9.35 including shipping.) You need a stencil that has large openings so you can get your finger into it. Using the tubes,I rubbed the Gelatos across the stencil and then just rubbed it in with my finger. After letting it dry, it looked great. The stencil had some spots on it that had small openings so that's why it doesn't have a consistent diamond pattern on it. The fourth bag I monogrammed with an Inkadinkado stamp set, here's the link to it at Michaels, where I bought it. http://www.michaels.com/10470355.html#q=inkadinkado+stamp&start=19 I distressed it with Mowed Lawn Distress Ink and then took a paper doily and distress inked it as well and then folded the doily around the top of the bag and used a paperclip with a small green ribbon to match to keep the doily in place. The fifth bag uses Versamark ink and clear embossing powder. You should run an embossing buddy over it before stamping to get rid of any excess powder and make sure there are no finger prints or marks on the bag from excess powder. I used three different stamps, one stamp from Stampendous called Fresh Bloom (that sells for $9.99 at Joanns before the half off coupon) and two from Hero Arts that I couldn't find the names on. I used the Reeves soft pastels and rubbed the pastels on the flowers and then rubbed them in with my fingers and then rubbed off the excess with a kitchen towel. If you are looking for an inexpensive way to make different gift bags for a variety of occasions, I hope this gives you some good ideas.
