The black cardstock needs to be 1" wide by 10 1/4" long and scored at 1/2" Make sure to fold them at the 1/2" score mark to get them ready for the project.
You will need the following cardboard or mat board :
2 pieces of 1" high x 4 1/2" wide
2 pieces of 1" high by 5  3/4" wide
1 piece of 4 1/2" high by 5 3/4" wide
1 piece of 2 1/2 x 4 1/2"
and several pieces of black cardstock with scor tape of tear tape on both sides of the score mark to the ends of the cardstock.  

You'll need two pieces of cute cardstock that are 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" one for on the top of the 4 1/2 x 5 3/4" mat board and one for the bottom of it.  You'll also need matching cardstock for the sides of the box both inside and outside and one piece of 2 1/4 x 4 1/4" for the flap of the box.  
You will line up the mat board as follows:
1 x 4 1/2"
4 1/2" x 5 3/4"
1 x 4 1/2
2 1/2 x 4 1/2
making sure all of the mat board faces the same direction with the 4 1/2" wide part going in the same direction for all of the pieces.  Make a gap of a little less than 1/8" between each piece and then tape the tape lining off one side of one of the black cardstock and attach one side of each of the mat boards to the cardstock almost to the score line but not covering it.  Then take another piece of the black cardstock and remove one of the liners and do the same to the opposite side of the pieces.  You can now put your designer paper 4 3/8 x 5  5/8"  on the center piece of mat board.  Make sure to use Tom Bow or another strong adhesive.  On the sides of the box, cut notches on the black cardstock on the spots where the pieces of mat board meet before removing the liner.  Next, add the 1" by 5 3/4" piece of mat board to the side of the 4 1/2 by 5 3/4" mat board on the black cardstock after removing the liner paper.  Place the mat board as close to the score line as possible but making sure you can still see it.  Make sure you burnish it onto the black cardstock and then do the same to the opposite side of the box.  Next, fold the end piece up that is 1" x 4 1/2" and take the score tape off the sides of it and at 90 degrees attach the tape to the mat board. Do the same on the opposite side.  You have now made 1/2 of your box.   Take one of your black cardstock pieces and cut it at 4 1/2" and cover the top of the end piece you just folded up. Cut two pieces of 7/8" by 4 3/8" designer paper and cover the front and back of the end piece.   Cut two 5 3/4" pieces of black cardstock and cover the top of the two sides. Cut two pieces of your designer cardstock at 7/8" x  5 5/8" and cover the inside of the sides of the box and do the same to the outside of the box. Now take another 1 x 4 1/2" piece of the black cardstock and cover the end of the 2 1/2 x 4 1/2" piece of mat board that is furthest from the project.  Then fold up the 1" 4 1/2" piece of mat board and removing the liner from the black cardstock,  attach the cardstock to make this piece 90 degrees.  Then take the liner off the 2 1/2" x 4 1/2" and attach it to the side of the box and burnish it.  Cut another piece of black cardstock at 4 1/2" and attach to the top end of the 2 1/2 x 4 1/2" piece of mat board so now all pieces should be covered with black cardstock to reinforce your box.  Cut a piece of designer paper at 2 3/8 x 4 3/8 to cover the top of the box.  Put felt pads on the bottom to protect the paper and make it so the box won't slide.  I got this idea from MayMay
