I started with glitter foam paper I bought in a pack at the Dollar Tree (pink was on top so don't be discouraged, it's in the kid's section). I traced a circle on it and then cut it out. The foam is thick so I had to keep cutting it down to make sure it wasn't too bulky. I took a string that was about 18" long and made a circle and knotted it on one end and then twisted the circle into a hat shape and put the string inside with the circle sticking out the top of the hat. I used Tacky Glue on a paintbrush and brushed the inside 1/3 of the hat with glue and then used a clothespin to hold it in place. Then I used silver glittery paper and a 1 3/4" round scallop circle punch and punched out two silver scallop circles and glued them together. I used my Crop a Dile to punch a hole in the center of the scallop circles and then pulled the string through the center and punched another hole close to the first and put a bell on the string and then pulled the string back up through the second hole and tied it to the inside string making sure the bell was as close to the scallop as possible. Then using hot glue, I glued the scallop to the bottom of the hat. I used a piece of silver foam sticker paper and cut it into a belt buckle shape that was as wide in the opening as the black ribbon I chose, the threaded the black satin ribbon through the silver buckle and glued it to the back of the hat. I used Flower Soft in white for snow and put Tacky glue around the base of the hat and covered it with the Flower Soft. The ornament came out really cute and I recommend this as a great project to try, especially if you have already made the larger hat decoration from my earlier video.
