First IMPORTANT NOTE--You need to separate the top piece of napkin from all layers beneath and only use the top layer..Sorry, I forgot to tell you on the video. I forgot to mention the other method involved a hot iron...That was the kicker! I used Neenah Pastel Cardstock that I bought from Amazon and here's the link to it if you are interested in it. http://www.amazon.com/Neenah-Cardstock-Inches-Assortment-48990/dp/B000F7IU7S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1447633595&sr=8-1&keywords=neenah+pastel+cardstock I cut the cardstock 10" x 5" for a 5 x 5" card top fold card. Then I removed all layers of napkin except the top piece and put the other pieces aside to use to clean my messy area. Then I used a Big Lots Glue Stick to cover the top of my cardstock with a thick layer of glue. Then I applied the napkin taking care to keep it even and try to avoid a lot of wrinkles (a few are fine). Then I did the same process one additional time on scrap cardstock (same color) and fussy cut the pumpkins, hat and pocket of the scarecrow. I put dimensionals under the pocket and hat and doubled the dimensionals on the top of the pumpkins but only a single layer on the bottom of the pumpkin so the top looks closer than the bottom. I used "Thankful for you" sentiment from "good greetings" a Stampin' Up set of stamps. I used Versafine onyx black ink on the sentiment (and punched it out with a Stampin Up punch) then distressed the yellow cardstock sentiment with Distress Old Paper ink and put dimensionals under the sentiment as well. I rounded the corners and the card is finished. To custom make an envelope, you measure your card on a diagonal from right top corner to bottom left corner and add one inch. In our case, our card was 7" + 1"= 8" . Using our card as a reference, You'd then cut a thin piece of scrapbook patterned paper to 8" x 8" square and make sure if there is writing on the back of your cardstock that it's in the part you cut off. Lay your scrapbook 8 x 8 paper down in a diamond shape. Put the card into the center of your 8 x 8 diamond shape with the pattern side up. Fold in each side in and make sure that the creases are visible and the top and bottom the same. Cut the small corners out on each of the four corners then put tape runner on the bottom center triangle on either side to adhere the sides to it. The tape should be on the patterned side of the scrapbook paper. Fold both sides in first and then the center piece with the glue on it last. (or you can do it the way I did in the video with the runner on the side pieces, but I forgot it was easier to glue the center section.) Once you have signed your card, all you need to do is address your envelope and put tape runner (or another adhesive) on the top fold of your envelope.
