A5200444 Puma is a delightful 5-year-old female Labrador Retriever and German Shepherd mix whose former owner left her at the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 15th because they moved and didn’t make arrangements for her. Weighing 35 lbs, Puma is a happy and affectionate dog who enjoys being with people. She has an outgoing personality and just wants to say hello to everyone. Puma is housebroken, walks respectably on leash and is easy to manage because of her size, but she would benefit from some additional training to polish her manners. In the shelter’s playgroups, she’s been a little nervous around other dogs, so she should be introduced to new canine friends properly and slowly to make her feel comfortable. Puma won over our volunteers with her charming personality and she will be a wonderful best companion in a family looking for an adaptable, intelligent, and social medium-sized dog.

Our Mission:

United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
