A4901803 Charlie is a pleasing and endearing 9-year-old chocolate-and-tan neutered male Chihuahua and Miniature Pinscher mix whose owner surrendred him to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on March 22nd without providing a reason. Weighing 10 lbs, this chocolatey guy with the wavy hair (yea, wavy!) and pop-of-color pips (eyebrows) has a medium-to-low energy and had no issues with other small dogs he met at the Glamour Shoot event (he has no kennel mates at present). His handler found him underneath his bed (so be sure to look carefully for him), overwhelmed at his situation; but he was completely non-aggressive in his fear and easily took the leash, pleased to be going out with a human. He likes people a lot and will, we think, be a perfect fit for any individual or family who wants a small, cute indoor pet and companion who’s both loving and lovable.

Our Mission:

United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
