A5037907 Gina is a people-loving 1-year-old gray-and-white female Pit Bull mix puppy who entered the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center as a stray from La Puente on March 3rd. Weighing 39 lbs, this small-side Pittie puppy does okay on leash (she pulls, but she also stays close to and pays attention to her handler) and already knows the “sit” and “down” commands—pretty good for such a young girl—and with some further training (which should be easy given how attentive and responsive to people she is) will likely be a great canine citizen and well-behaved family member. She likes other dogs, but, as her handler noted, she loves people. Her handler also pointed out that Gina loves to play and yet is quick to sit and wait patiently at her handler’s side. We think the lovable and loving Gina will thrive as an indoor pet and companion in an active household that appreciates just how smart and eager to please she is.

Our Mission:

United Hope for Animals is dedicated to reducing homelessness among companion animals through spay/neuter, shelter support, photography, video and networking of shelter animals in Southern California. It is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization working to end homelessness among companion animals by supporting shelter adoptions and spay/neuter programs. Through our Shelter Support Program, our volunteers photograph and video shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption significantly. Our volunteer Adoption Coordinators help facilitate adoptions of shelter pets. United Hope for Animals supports rescue, spay/neuter and networking of shelter pets to increase their chances of adoption. UHA is not a shelter, but supports shelters to help increase visibility of animals who might not otherwise be seen.
