House prices eased marginally in the first quarter of this year majorly due to credit squeeze and softening demand. The Kenya Banker’s Association(KBA) Housing Price Index says prices increased by 1.10 percent down from 1.58 percent in the last quarter of 2016.  KBA says the effects of the law capping interest rates has led to a drop in credit uptake.
