Microsoft Excel Tutorial - Format Subtotal Rows in Excel with One Click | Customize Your Toolbar.

Welcome back to another MrExcel NetCast! In this video, we'll be discussing a handy trick for formatting subtotal rows in Excel. If you've ever used the Automatic Subtotals feature to quickly create subtotals by customer, you may have run into the issue of wanting to format just the total rows. In the past, I've shown how to do this using the Edit, Go To, Special, Visible Cells Only method. But today, I'll be sharing an even easier way to achieve this.

Instead of going through the process of Edit, Go To, Special, Visible Cells Only, you can simply customize your toolbar and add the "Select Visible Cells" icon. This will allow you to easily select and format just the total rows without having to go through multiple steps. To customize your toolbar, simply right-click on it and choose Customize. From there, you can find the "Select Visible Cells" icon under the Edit category and drag it to your toolbar. This will make it easily accessible for future use.

But that's not the only handy trick for customizing toolbars that I'll be sharing in this video. Did you know that you can also move buttons around on your toolbar without even opening the Customize dialog box? Simply hold down the Alt key while clicking and dragging the button to a new spot on your toolbar. This will save you time and make it easier to organize your toolbar to fit your needs.

And for those of you who may be wondering, these toolbar settings are fairly permanent and will stay on your computer until you get a new one. However, if you do need to transfer your toolbar settings to a new computer, you can do so by finding the .tlb file on your computer and copying it to the new one.
