It is a race against time for matatu operators as they rush to beat Monday’s deadline to comply with the provisions of the National Transport and Safety Authority Act and the Traffic Act. The government has warned operators who will not have complied before the lapse of the deadline that their vehicles will not be allowed to operate along the country’s roads.
