Found in a high tech scrapyard, I had first thought this unit would make for a fun teardown video not knowing what it was or what it did. I had found a SATCOM transceiver unit (for X band specifically) and I started to dig into it. As I started to poke at it more, I was able to power it up, and was able to start poking and prodding at some of the inner workings. I have higher goals for this unit, I'm already looking into re-purposing it for 3cm amateur radio since the power amplifier might be able to transmit on 10ghz. Definitely a multi-part video as I start to try to repurpose the unit for 10ghz.
