A section of the clergy now want the government to recall sugar from the market in a bid to protect consumers following the influx of contaminated sugar in the country. This comes as police in Machakos impounded 12,400 bags of sugar at a warehouse in a flower farm in Mavoko. The consignment is alleged to have been imported by a company which has been linked to importation of contaminated sugar.
