COVINGTON, Ky. (WKRC) - Four young children, who are all siblings, are now officially adopted by their foster mothers.

For 8-year-old Rey, his twin 7-year-old sisters Jordan and Justice and 2-year-old brother Braxton, Monday was a big day. They’re no longer foster kids; they’re the Ottesen-Price kids.

“To them this was a big deal too, just to know that we all match,” said Afton Ottesen-Price. “They don’t ever have to move again. They don’t have to worry about us leaving.”

Afton and Charlotte Ottesen-Price have been married a little more than four years. Not too long after that, they began exploring adoption options. And then the phone rang.

“They called and they said, 'We have a 4-year-old and twin 3-year-old girls. Are you interested?' And we’re like, 'Uh, sure!'” said Afton. “So, we thought we’d give it a try, see how it went.”

Clearly, it’s still going well. All four kids are now adopted.

"You're just like -- you can lay in bed and not think about losing your kids that you just love,” said Charlotte.

The hearing was brief and the supporters that filled the courtroom applauded the new family.

"I'm relieved and happy to start this chapter with kids of my last name,” said Charlotte Ottesen-Price.

Charlotte added that the kids are resilient and that the things they’ve come through most adults in this world probably would fail.
