BATAVIA, Ohio (WKRC) -- A Batavia man is arrested for bilking a dementia patient out of thousands of dollars. Gary Kroener is charged with theft.  Police say he tricked a 90-year-old man into giving him 20,000 dollars to start a home renovation business. According to the affidavit, the offense took place at the Kenwood By Senior Star on Kenwood Road.  That's where the man is a patient and Kroener works as a caregiver. Authorities say the man gave Kroener the money after he was assured he would be a partner in the business.  Kroener goes before a judge Thursday.
