Here's a circa '62 Arvin AM portable battery operated transistor radio that still works; but, could benefit from an alignment and recap. This radio had been sitting at the flea market for a few months priced at $20. I figured if it sat awhile, the price would come down; but, the vendor turned out to be one of those who does not negotiate on prices and left instructions for the people at the flea market to not waste his time or theirs calling to ask if he'll take less for something because it's not going to happen. Many sellers are happy to negotiate on stuff because they want to get the stuff out the door to make room for new stuff. Other sellers, like this guy, set their prices in stone and they don't care how long something sits there. Anyway, this is an 8-transistor radio that uses an RF amplifier stage, in addition to two IF amplifier stages; so, it should be a good radio once I restore it.
