The Kenya Agriculture Livestock and Research Organization has rolled out an innovative and cost effective fodder preparation model  targeting farmers in arid and semi-arid regions. Farmers are to substitute costly animal feeds with the fodder block that constitutes a range of locally available pasture, molasses and animal salt.
