I was cleaning up my computer when I found this old gem of a video. I built this thing about 7 years ago when in university, procrastinating. 

Using a NQC program communicating with a RCX v2.0 it controlled several motors to give pan and tilt, with a flashlight as the head. Positioning was controlled by dead-reckoning, with home switches on both axes.

I'm not even sure what drove me to build this, I think it was inspired by a MAC250 moving head. Kind of random. I suppose it would be much easier to build one of these now that the Mindstorms NCX exists and the motors are absolute-positioning capable.
