RAKAI SCHOOL FIRE: Death toll rises to 11

At least 11 students are confirmed to have died after a fire broke out at St Bernard’s Secondary School, Mannya in Rakai District last night. 

The fire gutted a dormitory that housed at least 50 senior three students. 


According to students, the incident occurred at around midnight when the victims had been locked inside the dormitory. Police are yet to establish the cause of the fire.
