CJ Maraga admits Kenya’s justice system is skewed against the poor

The chief justice has confirmed that Kenya's criminal justice system, still favours the rich. The system according to Justice David Maraga, is so  skewed against the poor, with  majority of inmates in the country's prisons, being petty offenders. 

Only 5% of suspects in serious criminal cases are convicted, with the majority  manipulating  the systems to get away with crime. The CJ spoke during the official launch of  the National Committee on Criminal Justice Reforms. Daniel Mule reports.
