FKF, government blame politics for mega CHAN-nce loss

The government and the Football Kenya Federation have blamed the political situation in the country for the withdrawal of Chan 2018 hosting rights by the Confederation of African Football. This is despite CAF stating clearly, that it stripped Kenya of hosting rights due to failure to meet the infrastructure construction deadlines.

 In a contradictory explanation issued today, the government claimed that it was indeed committed to hosting Chan, despite not releasing budgets in time. Edmond Nyabola reports that in the face of blatant failure, Sports CS Hassan Wario was nowhere to address the mess.
