The Kenya Maritime Authority has inspected and certified the first locally manufactured luxury boat in Mombasa County. The 42-foot long and five-meter wide boat, built by Mark Jennings assisted by local technicians and craftsmen that is christened ‘Tintin Tu’ Mombasa has a capacity of 12 passengers and two crew members. Stakeholders have welcomed “Tintin Tu” noting that its successful building will inspire more to venture into boat making.
